The L type conversion version can be used for the DA Star 200mm. When this rear converter is used for the DA Star 200mm F2.8 ED (IF) SDM, it can be used as a super telephoto lens for the 280mm F4 (35mm film format equivalent: 420mm F4) for superior delineation performance. The minimum shooting distance remains unchanged at 1.2m, and near distance photography for capturing closeups of subjects is possible. The other functions are identical to the S type. The lens is focused using the manual focus.
